The cottage location is in the rural community of Laarne, on an old meander of the Scheldt river, north-east of Ghent.
Both historically (castle) and for the nature lover (Damvallei, Kalkense Meersen - the area belongs to the Sigmaplan with controlled flooding) there is much to offer. Beautiful cycling and walking paths. Avid geocachers will also find their liking here.
Cosy restaurants in all price ranges. Ghent is the bustling culture city and is known as the culinary capital of Europe.
Our cottages are easily and quickly accessible by car, via the E40 and E17 motorways. From here, you can visit Flanders in a few days (Bruges, Antwerp, Brussels within 1/2 hour highway).
By bicycle, it is half an hour to the historical centre of Ghent, cycling route via the embankment of the Scheldt river.
